10 Year Parts Warranty on Tank and Panels, 3 years Compressor, 1 year balance.
The SunPump Parts Warranty repairs or replaces four categories of parts when returned for exchange.
- 10 Years – Black Aluminum Panels
- 10 Years – Stainless Steel Water Tank
- 3 Years – Compressor
- 1 Year – Parts inside the metal cabinet
An Extended Warranty 10-5-2, and Service Agreement for labor are available upgrades.
The main categories not included in this parts Warranty – optionally covered by the Installer include:
- Diagnostics – Onlive or Site based trouble shooting of the heating system
- Labor – removal or replacement of parts is included in the Service Agreement from your Installer
- Delivery or travel expenses to return parts
- Connection leaks outside of the cabinet in any water or refrigerant pipes installed onsite
- Power failure damage from a brown-out, power surge, or irregular power supply
Ask your Vendor or Installer to buy a Service Agreement. It is a contract that covers annual preventative maintenance issues like checking the refrigerant level, checking wires and connections are tight, and other points that can avoid costly repair bills if neglected. Labor charges are often covered or reduced for a list of routine services from your Installer.
A good place to start is the Manual to learn Settings or make changes to the operational Mode. If your see an Error code message, you should contact your Installer by email with a full summary of the symptoms. If the issue is within the SunPump Freshdesk knowledge base or has a logical fix the Installer may be able to help immediately. Otherwise ask the Installer to open a free Support Ticket on Freshdesk so they can begin to resolve the issue with the assistance of technical support. A Service Agreement should cover a diagnostic online or site visit, or without coverage will have a $150 call out charge typical in the HVAC service industry.
You should first exhaust your local service and labor support options directly with your Installer or Vendor, basic service is what they were paid to provide under a Service Agreement. SunPump insists you buy a Service Agreement to obtain local labor coverage. If you bypass all of your Installer options and decline a Service Agreement, you can buy some diagnostic and technical support services from SunPump by credit card and open your own paid Support Ticket. Diagnostic, labor, and technical services are not part of HVAC Warranty coverage based on returned parts exchange.
